LONG BEACH — Pacific County Economic Development Council is hosting its Quarterly Retail/Hospitality Event March 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Adrift Hotel, 409 Sid Snyder Dr, Long Beach.

EDC and Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council representatives plan an interactive feedback session, discussing the regional public workforce system that provides workforce solutions for employers and job seekers. Also on the agenda are a review of priorities for their 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, as well as county and regional data related to the local workforce.

Kevin Decker of Washington Sea Grant will present information on the impact of tourism on the Washington Coast and in Pacific County. He will discuss tourism in terms of output, jobs and wages, explain external demand, and talk about the new 0.01 tax in Pacific County, as well as answer questions.

Some activities planned for the session include a “Share A Strategy Exchange.” Come prepared to offer an idea used to make a hospitality business more resilient to off-season slowdowns.
