PORTLAND — OnPoint Community Credit Union announced it will open 20 new branches inside Fred Meyer stores across Oregon and Southwest Washington in 2021. OnPoint currently serves more than 415,000 members at its 36 branches, four of which opened in 2020.

Construction of the new branches is tentatively scheduled to start in January. Each branch will offer financial services including membership enrollment, consumer and commercial lending, mortgages, financial planning, ATMs and notarization. The new branches are expected to provide up to 200 new jobs.

Clatsop County is one of 15 counties that were added to the credit union’s charter in June, meaning county residents are eligible for OnPoint membership. Pacific County residents are not currently eligible.
