Roughly seven months after quiet opening on Memorial Day weekend, a small restaurant next to Marsh’s Free Museum has expanded their menu and developed a devout following for their signature dish.

Patty Lopez opened Patty’s Fish Tacos & More in late May, and sales have been brisk for her halibut fish tacos ($12.95), sourced locally from Ocean Beauty Seafood in Astoria.

“It’s going really good — I love it!” Lopez said. While the business has largely centered on Lopez’s fish tacos, her husband Emmanuel introduced “Octodogs,” a beach-inspired take on a traditional hot dog that has become popular with kids.
